Description
Summary
If you do not set the permissions to let anyone send you requests trough the customer portal without logging, the link to the Help center still remains in the login page, but if you click on it, it will take you to a 404 error page:
To set those permissions, do the following:
- In your JSD project settings -> Customer permissions;
- Search for and click on change Global settings;
- Search for Can customers create their own accounts?:
- check Yes, by signing up or sending a request.
- After checking the previous option, it will make Can customers access and send requests from the help center without logging in? available:
- check Yes.
- Go back to the project settings (back to project) -> Customer permissions -> Who can access the portal and send requests to Fisrt JSD project?:
- check Anyone can send a request without logging in.
If after those steps, the option Who can access the portal and send requests to Fisrt JSD project? is set as Customers my team adds to the project, it will result in the error as well.
Environment
Jira Service Desk Cloud.
Steps to Reproduce
Access the customer portal (login page) when the permission to access and create requests without logging in is not active.
The link to the help center will be above the login form, and when you click on it, you will be redirected to a 404 error page.
Help center link (outlined in red):
Expected Results
The link to the help center should be either removed or made unavailable to click.
Actual Results
The link to the help center is clickable and will redirect you to a 404 error page.
Workaround
With the permissions mentioned set, it will work correctly, but that would not be an option if the customer does not want it to work that way.
As another option, it seems like if your portal has a logo, this bug is masked.
