      Atlassian Update - October 2023

      Hi Everyone,

Thank you for previously raising this feature request and bringing it to our attention.

Within our company roadmap and work capacity, we try to address or review each feature request but admit that not each one will be implemented. To continue the culture of being honest and open, we are closing this ticket to focus on our upcoming roadmap for all Jira Service Management Cloud users. You can visit Atlassian Cloud Roadmap to learn more about what was recently released and the upcoming roadmap.

Thank you again for providing valuable feedback to our team!

With the Atlassian account roll out, many customers are complaining about not being able to manage the password for their users even though they are portal-only users, but are not listed under Portal only customer in the User Management.

For a user to be treated as a portal-only customer, the user needs to be invited from within Service Desk projects (Customers tab) or by signing up for their own accounts, if they have permission to. If one doesn't know this and create the user through the "Create user" button, there is no option to make this user appears under "portal only customer" and hence, manually changing the password is not possible.

Back in the days, there used to be a checkbox "Restricted access user" which would easily turn a user into a portal-only customer.
