If you remove a user from the Reporter field and add them as a request participant, you are then able to re-add it as the Reporter

XMLWordPrintable

      Summary

Typically in a Service Desk issue, the Reporter cannot be added as a request participant- they're simply not in the populated list. However, if you remove them as the reporter and add them as a request participant, you are then able to re-add them as the reporter; the reporter is now also a request participant.

      Environment

      Cloud - JIRA v1000.695.1
      JIRA Service Desk Application v3.3.0-OD-1000.823.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a ticket within a SD project
      2. At this point, it isn't possible to set the Reporter user as a participant. It will simply not appear in the search user field.
      3. Remove the Reporter and add it as a participant.
      4. Add the Reporter again.
      5. Now you have the same user as a participant and Reporter

      Expected Results

Reporter should not be added as a participant regardless of how you add it.

      Actual Results

A user can be both, Reporter and participant.
