Attachment(s) link(s) broken in notification(s) sent to customers

XMLWordPrintable

NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding bug report.

      Summary

When an attachment is added to a service request, the link in the sent notification seems to be broken.
Clicking on the link returns HTTP Status 400: "The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect"

      Environment

      Reproduces on:

      • JIRA versions 1000.126.1 and 1000.110.0
      • JSD versions 3.2.0-OD-18-001-D20160629T013132 and 3.2.0-OD-17-002-D20160627T071458

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. As a customer, create a service desk request
      2. As an agent, add an attachment to the request and use the attachment button to link the attachment in the comment
      3. Wait until the notification is sent out and check the Customer Mailbox.
      4. Click on the Attachment Hyperlink.

      Expected Results

      The link is downloaded correctly

      Actual Results

You get HTTP Status 400: "The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect" returned by Tomcat.

      Notes

The link in the notification, compared to the link to the same attachment in the customer portal seems to be missing the last parameter:
      Link in notification: https://INSTANCE_URL/servicedesk/customershim/secure/attachment/10002/10002_sample.doc

      Link on customer's portal: https://INSTANCE_URL/servicedesk/customershim/secure/attachment/10002/10002_sample.doc?fromIssue=10286

      Workaround

Copy the link from the customer portal and paste it into the comment
