Current State:

When Jira issue links are rendered as Smart Links (such as Inline comments), the status badge displays the default (untranslated) status name instead of the translated status name configured for the viewing user's language/locale.

In contrast, native issue views (such as the Linked Work Items panel or the main issue status dropdown) correctly reflect the translated status name according to the user's language preferences configured (or user profile settings).

Proposed Future State:

Smart Links should detect the viewing user's selected locale and render the translated status name matching the configured status translations causing uniformity across.
