Issue Summary
New project admins are blocked from accessing Multi-space work → List by an “add spaces to multi-space work” prompt, even when Multi-space work is already configured and working. The prompt can’t be bypassed, may force unwanted changes to the shared board filter, and becomes a hard block if filter editing is restricted.
Steps to Reproduce
- In a JSM project, enable Multi-space work with List view.
- Set the project’s board filter to reference a non‑JSM project, or a JSM + non‑JSM combo
- Confirm Multi-space work is in use and working (Board/Calendar show issues).
- Add a new project admin who has never opened Multi-space work → List for this project.
- As that admin, go to Multi-space work → List view of the filter, which will prompt the “add spaces to multi-space work” prompt.
- (Optional) Restrict project admins from editing the board filter, which will block them from the prompt but then will not let them access the filter.
Expected Results
- If a Multi-space work configuration already exists with a valid board/filter: A new project admin should be able to open Multi-space work → List and see issues from the existing filter without being forced through onboarding.
- Restricting project admins from editing the board filter should not make List inaccessible: They should still be able to use the configured List view even if they cannot edit its filter.
Actual Results
- New Admins are prompted with "add spaces to multi-space work" message and are forced to edit the filter even thought its already configured.
Workaround
- Have a site-admin impersonate the user, complete the prompt once, and fix the filter.
