Problem
The JSM Operations alerts list view does not allow users to choose which columns to display or hide, and while columns can be resized during a session, those resize settings are not saved on page reload. This results in a cluttered default view with excessive horizontal scrolling, making it difficult to quickly access important alert information. Unlike the standard Jira Issue Navigator, which supports column selection, resizing, and saved layouts, the JSM Ops alert list view lacks these customization capabilities. Users migrating from Opsgenie particularly notice this gap, as Opsgenie provided a more streamlined and configurable alert view.
Suggested Solution
Allow users in the JSM Ops alerts list view to:
- Select which columns to show or hide (e.g., Tags, Services, Create Incident, Link Issue)
- Resize column widths
- Have all column display and sizing preferences persist across page reloads and sessions
This should align the alert list view customization experience with what is already available in the Jira Issue Navigator.
Why This Is Important
The current fixed-column layout forces horizontal scrolling, hiding critical alert details and slowing down incident response workflows.
Multiple feature requests exist for this capability (e.g., https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-14644), indicating broad demand across the customer base.
