Current State:

In Jira cloud, there is no supported way to configure the work item layout for sub-tasks. Currently, if the parent task and sub-task types share the same view screen, only then the layout configuration applies to all issue types using that screen.

Proposed Future State:

Ability to configure the work item layout for subtasks, so that only required fields can added in each subtask irrespective of the parent task.

Why is this important:

Customers create screen schemes separately based on their respective scenarios. Following the above solution of having same screen scheme for parent and sub task might end up showing unwanted fields in every subtask which may lead to confusion.
