      Issue Summary

Enable AI agents created in Studio to be assignable and @‑mentionable in Jira Service Management (JSM) work items.

Today, custom AI agents with the Work items surface enabled can be assigned to and @‑mentioned in Jira Software (JSW) and Jira Work Management (JWM) issues, but not in JSM requests. This creates confusion and limits how teams can use AI to triage and work on JSM tickets, especially when the Work items toggle is enabled and appears to imply broader support.

      Expected Results

The custom AI agent behaves like it does in JSW/JWM when the Work items surface is enabled:

      • The agent appears in the Assignee dropdown for JSM requests.
      • The agent is available in the @‑mention autocomplete list in JSM comments.
      • Teams can assign JSM requests to the agent and @‑mention it to trigger AI-driven assistance (triage, summarisation, suggested responses, etc.).

      Actual Results

      In Jira Service Management:

      • The agent does not appear in the Assignee dropdown on requests.
      • The agent does not appear in the @‑mention autocomplete in comments.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
