Current State:
Currently, when an instance is rate limited by internal API calls to Assets, there is no way for the user to identify that they have been rate limited outside of calling into support. The 429 error is only shown in the backend logs. The errors provided in the UI just note that there were problems loading assets which do not help the user to understand why this is happening.
Proposed Future State:
It would be helpful if there was an in product and or email warning to admins when API endpoints for assets are getting close to rate limits or exceed rate limits.
