Allow Rovo to Perform AI-Powered Pre-Action Validation in Jira (Workflows, Fields, and More)

Currently, Rovo cannot be configured to act as a validator or gatekeeper within Jira workflows or other key interaction points to block transitions, field updates, or actions based on AI-driven checks before they are executed. This feature would allow Rovo to:

      • Assess communications (e.g., ensure non-technical language for major incident updates) before sending
      • Validate change management submissions for required detail before approval
      • Enforce agile process criteria before items enter a sprint or move to “In Progress”
      • Prevent users from saving or updating content in fields if information is missing or incorrect (e.g., on edit or view screens)
      • Act as a gatekeeper on workflow conditions, not just validators, and on other events where pre-action validation is needed

      Business Value:
This capability would enable organizations to automate compliance and quality checks at every critical point of action—across workflows, field edits, and other events—reducing manual review and ensuring process adherence wherever it matters most.

      Request:
Please consider enabling Rovo (or similar agents) to be configured as a validator or gatekeeper not only within workflow transitions (validators and conditions), but also for field-level validation (e.g., preventing save on edit/view screens) and other relevant events. This would allow pre-action validation and gating of transitions, field updates, and other actions based on customizable, AI-powered criteria—ensuring that validation is not restricted solely to workflow validators.
