Comment dialog in portal remains open after submitting a comment

      Problem

When a user submits a comment on a Jira Service Management request through the customer portal, the comment dialog does not close automatically. Instead, a new empty comment dialog appears, prompting the user to add another comment. This behavior can confuse users, making them think their initial comment was not submitted successfully and potentially leading to duplicate comments.

      Suggested Solution

Ideally, after a comment is submitted, the dialog should close automatically or display a clear confirmation that the comment was posted successfully.

      Why This Is Important

This issue negatively impacts the user experience by creating uncertainty about whether a comment was submitted. It can lead to duplicate comments, unnecessary support queries, and overall confusion for customers using the portal.

      Workaround

Currently, users can manually close the comment dialog or refresh the page to confirm their comment was posted. However, this is not intuitive and does not fully resolve the confusion.
