      Issue Summary

The Jira Service Management customer portal search currently does not support searching with partial ticket numbers. Users must enter the complete ticket number to locate a request, which limits efficiency and usability.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to the Jira Service Management customer portal.
      1. In the search bar, enter a partial ticket number (e.g., type only the numeric portion or a prefix of the ticket key).
      1. Observe the search results.

      Expected Results

The portal should return all tickets that match the partial ticket number entered, allowing users to quickly find requests even if they do not remember the full ticket key.

      Actual Results

No results are returned unless the full and exact ticket number is entered. Partial matches are not supported.

      Workaround

Currently, users must enter the complete ticket number or use other identifiers (such as summary keywords or reporter name) to locate tickets. There is no configuration or workaround to enable partial ticket number search in the portal.
