Issue Summary
The customer is seeking a way to automate issue creation in Jira from Slack without requiring users to click a request button, which they often ignore, leading to unsynced comments.
Steps to Reproduce
In the current setup where users must click a 'Raise a Request' button in Slack to create issues in Jira.
This extra step is frequently overlooked, resulting in comments that are not synced with Jira work items.
The customer desires a streamlined process that enforces form completion while eliminating the need for users to manually initiate the request.
There is no built-in functionality for automatic form pop-ups.
Expected Results
Automate issue creation in Jira from Slack without requiring users to click a request button
Actual Results
To avoid any sync issues with Jira work items from Slack, I recommend adding the request type to the request channel, which should also be part of the agent channel.
Currently, if you have only one request type, an issue can be raised automatically whenever a message is posted in the channel.
This setup does not require the use of a form. However, if customer want to make form submission mandatory, they could introduce a required field, other than the Summary.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
