Description:
Currently, the “Send custom Entra ID request” automation component is only available to tenants with Jira Service Management (JSM) Premium or Enterprise licenses. However, the documentation at Use Entra ID with Automation lists several Entra ID components as available, and in practice, the following five components are accessible in Jira Software as well:

• Add user to group in Entra ID

• Check if user is enabled in Entra ID

• Check if user is in group in Entra ID

• Enable user in Entra ID

• Get user details from Entra ID

The only exception is “Send custom Entra ID request,” which is not available for Jira Software, even though it is critical for advanced automation scenarios that require custom API calls to Entra ID or other Microsoft Graph endpoints.

Business Impact:
Customers using Jira Software are unable to leverage the full potential of Entra ID automation, as many advanced use cases depend on the ability to send custom requests. This limitation renders the other Entra ID components less useful, as many actions are user-dependent and require custom logic.

Request:
Please consider enabling the “Send custom Entra ID request” automation component for Jira Software (not just JSM Premium/Enterprise). This would bring feature parity and unlock advanced automation scenarios for Jira Software customers.
