Issue Summary
Customers have reported that when checkboxes are included in the Description field (which uses the Wiki Renderer), they are interactable on the JSM customer portal. However, any selections or modifications made by customers are not persisted or saved.
This results in confusion, as the UI allows interaction, misleading customers into thinking their input has been recorded, when in reality no change is captured or reflected in the issue.
Steps to Reproduce
- From the agent view, add a checkbox (e.g., [] Task 1) to the Description field of an existing issue after it has been created.
- As a customer, open the same issue from the Jira Service Management portal.
- Attempt to select or toggle the checkbox within the Description field from the portal view.
Expected Results
- Prevent checkboxes in the Description field from being interactable on the portal, or
- Clearly indicate that changes made to checkboxes will not be saved, to avoid confusion.
Actual Results
- The checkbox appears clickable, and customers are able to tick/untick it.
- However, any changes are not saved or reflected in the issue.
- There is no indication to the customer that the input is not being recorded.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
