      Issue Summary

Ability to add a custom email address for app notifications and allow users to reply to the email address to create work items or add comments to existing work items without having to Add an incoming mail server.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. When setting a custom email for notifications, they are sent correctly; however, when customers respond to these notification emails, they are not processed if a mail server and mail handler are not configured with an email account.

      Expected Results

Notification should be processed without having to configure an email box, email server, and email handler.

      Actual Results

If there is no email handler with an actual email box, replies are not processed and not work items or issues are created.

      Workaround

      1. To process the notification responses and email box should be configured so that the puller can retrieve the messages.
      2. Setup a mail redirect rule in the Exchange config that redirects the custom domain email address to the atlassian.net mail handler email address.
