      Problem

We received atleast one report regarding a ticket where five identical comments ("Approved by...") were added simultaneously. Upon checking the audit log of the related automation rule, we observed that the rule was triggered five times on the exact same event. Each execution shows as SUCCESS with separate run IDs.

      Environment

      Jira Service Management Cloud

      Steps to Reproduce

This issue cannot be reliably reproduced at will.

      Expected Results

The automation rule should trigger only once per approval event, resulting in a single comment being added.

      Actual Results

The automation rule is triggered five times for a single approval event, leading to five identical comments.

      Workaround

No known workaround is currently available.

      Notes

The issue has been identified to be caused by a race condition in approvals reindexing, triggered when the issue view containing a stuck approval is loaded multiple times in parallel.
