Current State:

Currently, the date format in Assets is determined by the language setting in a user's profile. The YYYY/MM/DD format, which is commonly used in technical and programming contexts for its logical sequence, is not universally available across all languages. At present, it is officially supported by specific languages that officially uses this format, such as Japanese.
 

Proposed Future State:

The proposed feature would allow users to independently select their preferred date format, including YYYY/MM/DD, regardless of their chosen language setting. This change would offer greater flexibility and customization for users, enabling them to maintain their preferred date format while using the language of their choice for the interface.

This enhancement would improve user experience, particularly for those in technical or international settings where the YYYY/MM/DD format is favored for clarity and consistency.
