A customer who recently moved from OG -> Compass raised this request. They integrate their alerts with Sentry. All their incidents are managed in Sentry.
As part of the alert properties, the customer is passing the link to the Sentry incident. Now, when the customer tries to access the incident, they have to manually copy the link from the alert and paste it in their browser. The requirement is to make this clickable. So that this can save some valuable time for customers as they traverse through many alerts.
This behaviour of links being non-clickable was observed in Compass, but will also be present in JSM as the code base is the same. And it is noteworthy that this is Supported in Opsgenie.
I guess, the feature enhancement should be that for any string that is passed in to the properties of an Alert and resembles a URL, we should instantly make it clickable.
Example of the Compass issue attached as image.
