Issue Summary
If the Service project is imported from another site's Jira Cloud backup file and the original project was linked with Confluence space in that site, imported service project fails to link the Confluece space with the same site's Confluence space.
There are 2 sites: SiteA and SiteB
- SiteA
- There are JSM and Confluence subscription
- Service Project is linked to Confluence space in same site.
- Take Jira Cloud backup (Jira Setting > [System] > [Backup manager])
- SiteB
- There are JSM and Confluence subscription
- Import Jira Cloud from SiteA (Jira Setting > [System] > [Import Jira cloud] > Import data from SiteA)
In such case, opening restored project in SiteB, the KB settings shows no linked spaces.
But trying to link the Confluence space for that project, it failed without showing any error. Please find attached movie for the actual behavior.
Steps to Reproduce
- In Original Site, Service project is linked to the Confluence space in same site.
- In Original site, take backup via Jira Setting > [System] > [Backup manager] and download it.
- In destination site, import the backup file from step 2.
- Open the imported service project and navigate to [project settings] > [Channels & self service] > [Knowledge base]
- Click [Try now] and attempt to link to existing Confluence space or create new one.
- The UI shows the succeeded message, but knowledge base UI does not changed. And the knowledge base articles cannot be referred from customer portal.
Expected Results
Successfully link the Confluence space with new site.
And if there are invalid link, there should be an option to unlink from the project.
Actual Results
UI does not show any error and show a success message, but after refreshing the UI, nothing changed.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for linking Confluence space with imported project. Newly created project allows to link Confluence space.
