Timezone inconsistencies within JSM Operations - Maintenance Policies

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When a maintenance policy is created with a specific timezone (other than user's profile timezone), the time is recalculated in the UI which creates confusion to the customers to understand the implementation

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Create a Maintenance -> Choose any Timezone within policy other than your user profile timezone -> Enter the Start & End time -> Save the policy
      • The saved policy will show re-calculated time in the UI.

      Expected Results

As per the expected behavior, the Start & End time should remain the same as chosen with the timezone and shouldn't be recalculated as per the user profile. This causes confusion on user level in setting up the policy.

      Actual Results

Start and End time is recalculated in the Maintenance policy.

      Workaround

As a workaround, the customer can use their profile's timezone to setup the Maintenance policy to the required time and it should work as expected.
