Issue Summary
At present, Jira Service Management allows you to control access to request types by granting access to specific users, groups, customer accounts, or customer organizations. If a user does not have access, they will not see the request type as an option to raise a request. This setup effectively restricts access to those not explicitly granted permission.
The current system does not support a direct method to explicitly deny access to specific individuals or groups while allowing access to others.
Steps to Reproduce
- From your service project, select Project settings, then Request management, then Request types.
- Select the request type you wish to restrict.
- Select Restrictions.
- Add the users, groups, customer accounts or organizations you wish to give access.
- Select Add.
- Select Apply to save changes.
Expected Results
- The current system does not support a direct method to explicitly deny access to specific individuals while allowing access to others.
Actual Results
- This setup controls who has access to raise certain requests by restricting request types to give specific people access, and restrict access to all others
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
