Issue Summary
As a Jira admin, I'd like users with Service Desk team role in the Service project to see the Services tab the on sidebar under the Operations section menu.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in to your Jira site as an administrator.
- Go to the "User Management" section.
- Invite users" to add new users to your Jira site and Choose "Jira Service Management" as the product to ensure they have access to the service project.
- Assign the user the Agent role to access the site.
- Access the Service Project and navigate to the settings
- Explore to Access and People and click Add people to add the user page
- Assign the role of the Service Desk Team to the user
Service project.
- log in to your Jira as the user above and navigate to the specific project where you want to access the "Services" tab.
- On the left side of your project page, you will see the project sidebar
- Scroll through the sidebar to locate the "Operations" section. This section typically includes items like "Change calendar," "Services," "Alerts," and "On-call"
Expected Results
A user with a Service Desk team role sees the Services tab
Actual Results
The services tab is missing from the operation menu. The user sees Change Calendar," "Alerts," and "On-call" but not Services.
Workaround
- Create a shortcut in the service project, Add the services URL, and save. This will allow the user to access the services page directly (https://<site>.atlassian.net/jira/servicedesk/projects/<project>/services)
- Add the service Desk team role to the administer project permission in the permission schema.
