      Description:

I would like to request a feature enhancement for Jira Service Management (JSM) that allows users to filter the values displayed in linked fields within forms. Currently, when linking a form field to a Jira field, all possible values of the Jira field are shown in the form. This can be overwhelming and not always relevant to the specific context of the form.

      Proposed Solution:

Introduce a filtering mechanism that allows administrators to specify which values of a linked Jira field should be displayed in the form. This could be implemented through:

      1. Conditional Logic: Allowing administrators to set conditions based on other form fields or user roles to dynamically filter the values.
      2. Predefined Lists: Enabling administrators to create and manage predefined lists of values that can be linked to form fields.
      3. Custom Scripts: Providing an option to use custom scripts or automation rules to filter values based on specific criteria.

      Benefits:

      1. Improved User Experience: By displaying only relevant values, users can more easily find and select the appropriate options, reducing confusion and errors.
      2. Enhanced Efficiency: Administrators can tailor forms to better meet the needs of different user groups or scenarios, streamlining the data entry process.
      3. Greater Flexibility: This feature would provide more control over form customization, allowing for more sophisticated and context-sensitive forms.

      Conclusion:

Implementing this feature would significantly enhance the usability and flexibility of JSM forms, making them more efficient and user-friendly. I believe this improvement would be highly beneficial to many users and would greatly enhance the overall functionality of Jira Service Management.
