JSM Assets Confluence Macro Shows "Unknown User"

      Summary

      With the introduction of the new Object Viewer role, JSM customers who have an Atlassian account can now view the contents of Assets tables within JSM-linked Confluence knowledge base articles.

      However, for attributes of the "User" type, users listed in these attributes are displayed as "Unknown User" within the portal’s knowledge base articles. Currently, these User Attributes do not display user details such as names or emails.

      Enable the ability to view the "User" attribute column with names or emails, similar to the display of other asset objects, by assigning these users the Object Viewer role.

      Workaround

      If feasible, assign these users a JSM license, allowing them to view User Attribute values directly within the portal’s knowledge base articles.
