Issue Summary:
The Assets macro in Confluence allows users to display and share asset information in table format. However, there is currently no functionality to export the table content, making it difficult for users who need to work with or analyse the data outside of Confluence. This limitation affects users who wish to generate reports, share data externally, or manipulate the content in other tools like Excel.
Expected Results:
Users should be able to export the content of the Assets table into common file formats such as PDF or CSV, allowing them to easily share or further analyse the data.
Workarounds:
The following workarounds may be used to address the issue in the meantime:
- Export the list from Assets UI
- Export the confluence page (limited to data visible in the table)
- Manually copy and paste the table content into a spreadsheet or document for export.
While these workarounds may provide some relief, they are not efficient or user-friendly. An in-built export feature would greatly streamline the process and enhance usability.
