Issue Summary
Customer is unable access the requests from the "Requests" page in the customer portal and on a couple of refresh faces error:
"message": Cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because "from" is null "status-code": 500
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a request type with a custom status
- Raise a request and transition the status to the custom status,
- Then delete the status from the workflow
Expected Results
The request is shown under "Requests" page in the customer i.e. Jira handles the null status of the ticket without failure from the backend.
Actual Results
From UI or logs, you get error:
message: Uncaught exception thrown by REST service: Cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because "from" is null
Workaround
Reach out to the Support Team to help resolve the issue.
