Adding customers to your service desk by groups with the project role
You can add groups of customers by adding them to the Service Desk Customers project role.
Open the service desk in the administration console, go to Administration > Projects.
- Choose your service desk.
- Open the Roles section
- Review the Service Desk Customers role and update the Groups field. ** Enter one or multiple JIRA user groups of your choice and click Update.
To be able to manage and have control to setup the desired username for customers, we are creating customers in JIRA UI and remove them from jira-users group. However, when a notification has been sent to customers, it is directing to the JIRA UI rather that SD Customer Portal to reset the password. I know that this is expected as the users are created from JIRA. I would like to be able to modify the template or login page when the link is being sent to customers. I believe that in the future, it will be a useful feature for SD users.
