We have observed that users can unintentionally create teams with identical names but differing or partially overlapping memberships. This can lead to confusion and the mis-assignment of components and tickets if not spotted quickly. While the ability to create teams with the same name is by design, it can cause operational challenges.

Proposed Solution:
Implement a warning pop-up message when a user attempts to create a team with a name that already exists. The message could be:
“The team name you have specified is already in use - please check that this team is not already set up in Atlassian.”
