Issue Summary
Bulk update of Customer Request Type not available
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to JSM search
- click on Action> Bulk operation
- Select issues to update
- click on Edit issues
- No Request type change is available
Expected Results
Request Type should be present in bulk operations
Actual Results
No Request type field available
Workaround
- Export Issues: Use Jira's issue search to find the issues you want to change. You can then export these issues to an Excel or CSV file.
- Prepare the Data: In your spreadsheet, prepare the changes you want to make. This might just be for your reference to keep track of the changes you plan to make.
- Bulk Edit: Jira allows you to bulk edit issues, but this won't directly change the request type. Instead, you might be able to change a field that triggers a change in the request type through automation rules or workflows you've set up.
- Manual Update: For each issue, manually change the request type from the issue view in Jira. This approach is labor-intensive but might be necessary if other methods are not viable
