With the releases announced here, Assist-triggered notifications were disabled for ticket updates on behalf of using Slack's native notifications (via Threads and the Activity tab).

However, this makes it harder to keep a closer track of Jira issues depending on the use-case, as request updates may get lost in the threads tab in Slack. It would be nice to have the ability to toggle on/off notifications via Assist to help Jira issue notifications gain more attention from users.

The overall idea is that per project (or request type), you have the ability to trigger Assist notifications. This way, users can see in Slack the notification icon on the Assist app, and know they have Jira requests pending.
