Issue Summary
When "Internal Account" enabled in "Customer Access" setting was enabled and a domain is added , by default an Atlassian Account should be created. However , in a case where customer tried to sign up an account and during the process it failed with one of the verification , duplicate account will be created , which is a "Atlassian Account" and "Portal Only Customer" account. This issue rarely happened.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to "Customer Access" and under Internal , tick for *Use approved domains
to grant internal customers access to the help center with Atlassian accounts* - Add a domain in the approved domains and enable "Customer" for JSM product.
- Go to Customer Portal and sign up for an account with the domain added previously.
Expected Results
An account created with Atlassian Account
Actual Results
Two account created , one with portal only customer another with Atlassian Account
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
