Problem

The Date and DateTime type attributes in Assets show in MM/DD/YYYY format in Edit mode even if the Language option in account preferences is configured to show any other format. The default date format followed by Assets is MM/DD/YYYY

How To Replicate

1. In https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/account-preferences set the Language as UK
2. Add a Date attribute to an object type
3. Open an object of the object type and set a value in the Date attribute
4. During setting/editing, the value shows in MM/DD/YYY format but after setting it shows as expected which is DD/MM/YYYY

Suggested Solution

Ensure that the Date and DateTime type attributes in Assets are displayed in the same formats in Edit as well View mode.

Why This Is Important

• This doesn't align with Date Picker field behaviour in Jira which shows the same format in Edit as well View mode.
• Confusion for users leading to incorrect data entry

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
