Description
Issue Summary
When the site default language is set to a language other than English, the Create issue action does not copy the Assets custom field properly.
Steps to Reproduce
- Set the site default language to French (Configuration > System > General configuration > Edit Settings > Default Language)
- Create an Assets custom field and name it "Assets"
- In the Custom field list find the "Assets" field click on "..." > Translate options > Choose French language and set translation to "Actifs"
- Create a new issue and add an object to the "Assets" custom field.
- Create the automation rule.
- Set up a Scheduled trigger with JQL that returns the above issue
- Add Create Issue action
- Set the Summary to anything
- Select the "Assets" custom field and set it to COPY so it copies the value from the original issue.
- Trigger the rule
NOTE: the site language must be set to French before the action is created, not after.
It appears there's some kind of language metadata associated with the action when it's created and that breaks things. Therefore, if you see the create issue action is not copying the custom field, you must set the language back to English (United States) AND then also re-create the action.
Expected Results
Assets custom field should be copied to the new issue.
Actual Results
The Assets custom field is empty in the new issue.
Workaround
Set the default language to English (United States) before creating the action.
