Unable to cancel a processing External Import

Issue Summary

When an external app finishes sending in data and kick start the importing process. There is no cancellation buttons on Asset's UI nor a way for external app to cancel the import process.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create External Import configuration and progress through this guide https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/assets/imports-rest-api-guide/workflow/#imports-rest-api-guide to end of Step 5c where data submission has completed
2. Go back to Asset Import Configuration UI and there is no progress nor cancellation button to cancel the import

Expected Results

A way for external app or on Asset UI to cancel a started external import

Actual Results

there is no progress nor cancellation button to cancel the import

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available. One can only wait till the import has been completed by querying /status External Import API and obtaining a DONE status.
