Assets for JSM - Provide an option to Sync Atlassian Accounts & Portal-only Customer Accounts to an Object Schema

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Problem Definition

Users & Customers are handled as Assets in some cases. Particularly when linking them to other Assets like Services, Devices, etc.
Having the ability to easily use the information already available to a Site would be helpful.

      Suggested Solution

Provide an option that can be enabled to automatically sync Atlassian Accounts & Portal-only Customer Accounts to a Schema in Assets.

      Workaround

Manually creating the User Objects for Atlassian Accounts & Portal-only Customer Accounts can be done. Automation Rules can be configured to create new Objects if they don't already exist, but setting up syncing can be complex.

            Hi

Can we have an update on this? will we see in the near future the ability to sync Atlassian accounts with Jira Assets? Its seems quite shocking that Atlassian would not have thought to include what may be one of the most important aspects of basic asset management in new assets. (the old system I believe there was a way to do this as we had this running on our environment), This is causing real struggle for our organization and we would really appreciate a solution to this issue fairly quickly

            Kind regards

            Rehaan
