Currently, date-time fields are not supported in ticket creation via Assist, the date-time field in Jira is displayed as a date-only field in the assist form.
It would be a significant improvement to support date-time fields, as even default request forms use date-time fields in Jira, and the lack of it in Assist can cause issues as the following:
- a date-time field is on the request form.
- In Assist, the field is displayed as a DATE field only.
- When the ticket is created, it takes the selected date and automatically applies a UTC timezone.
- In Jira, the field will be displayed according to the user's timezone, which may cause even the date to be displayed incorrectly on the Jira field.
Workaround
Use date-only fields for request forms used in JSM Chat.
