      Issue Summary

Importing a Discovery zip file does not import all the data into Insight.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Upload a discovery zip file with multiple xml files with different start dates
      2. Import data

      Expected Results

Complete import of all the data from the zip file

      Actual Results

Partial data(data from the files that belong to the oldest date in the zip file) is imported

      Workaround

Ensure the zip has XML files starting around the same date

[JSDCLOUD-11727] Partial data imported as part of Discovery imports

            Dear Doro,

thank you very much for that good news.

Is this something depending on a version of the Discovery Service installed internally or is this something, which has been fixed on your Cloud site?

            Chris

Hi all, I am pleased to announce that we have completed the rollout of this fix and we are now able to support Discovery Import files that contain multiple hosts and different start dates in one zip file. Will close this ticket but please reach out if there are any further concerns.

Hi all, we are actively working on a fix for this which we hope to release over the coming weeks. I will post an update as soon as I can share an ETA. In the meantime, please refer to the workaround of ensuring the zip has XML files starting around the same date OR renaming the files manually to ensure the date is the same.

            Thanks,

            Doro Linneweber

This bug seems to affect us heavily.

We use the Assets Discovery Service to scan our Servers once a week.

Then there is the Assets Discovery Agent installed on some notebooks.

The xml of both scans is saved in the same directory. According to this bug, only those xmls from "day 1" are processed in cloud, all the rest - such as all the server data - is ignored.

            This should be fixed asap.
