Support for the label field has been developed; however, we have encountered a range of issue relating to anonymous users filling out forms via the portal. These issues have delayed the release of support for this field until Q4 of 2022.

Currently Forms fields cannot be linked to a Label field in JSM.
This is something customers would like to be able to do in order to keep form fields linked to this specific field.
Workaround:
Link a Form Field to the Jira Label Field
- Create a “defacto” custom choice field that has the same options as your Labels field. This field does not need to be included on any screens.
- Link a field on your ProForma form to that custom field.
- Use Project Automation (cloud) or Automation for Jira (server) to copy the value from your custom field into your Labels field.
Note that you will need to two automation rules to ensure that both the form field and the Jira field are kept up to date:
- Update Label field (sets the value of the labels field to match the value of the defacto custom field)
- Update defacto field (sets the value of the defacto custom field to match the value of the Labels custom field)
