      Atlassian Update - 19 March 2015

      Hi everyone,

This is a routine update of this issue. While this issue is not currently on our roadmap, we do hope to address it in the future.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

      Regards,

Security levels allow JIRA issue visibility to be altered per issue, instead of just per project (as with permission schemes). However, currently security levels can only be set by hand (although a default may apply).

It would be great if we could provide a flexible workflow post-function, which set the security level of an issue based on various configurable criteria. For instance:

        1. plugin-utilities-1.0.jar
          7 kB
        2. plugin-utilities-2.0.jar
          7 kB
        3. screenshot-1.jpg
          217 kB

          Form Name

[JRASERVER-9107] Create post-function to set security level

I don't think Atlassian will do anything here after Jira Server is EOL and Jira Automation, which can be used to solve this,  is now part of the Data Center solution.

Guys please stop marketing the plugin in here, We are asking for the basic stuff that needs to be in this tool. Jira is not a free software to go and buy all that we need as plugin by paying more and more.

It seems like whenever I try to do nearly anything beyond very basic things in Jira that it can't be done (or I need to spend more money on add-ons to do it). This is another one.

Must be. Atlassian just did a project to come out with new logos for its products. I'm sure that will solve all our problems! Yay!

Very pity, that Atlassian is doing some unnecessary things (like moving buttons from one side of screen to another) instead of really useful one.

Whats the status quo after the "Atlassian Update - 19 March 2015"? Noting new after 2.5 years? btw: Why no assignee?

This would be tremendously useful for us as well.

Whenever I google "how to do <basic thing> in jira" and the first result is from Atlassian, I die a little inside because 9 times out of 10 it's an issue that's been open for 10 years with 100+ votes.

Oh another issue that a lot of people (including me need) and that hasn't been implemented for 10 years....
