Issue Summary
Sometimes notifications from Jira get into a strange state where they are slow to process, or seem stalled, or similar.
The mail service is still processing, but to help it out Administrators manually flush the mail queue.
To help with tasks like this, it would be great to have a REST API endpoint to automate flushing the mail queue in Jira.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to Settings > System > Outgoing Mail
- Click to flush the mail queue
Expected Results
Mail is automatically sent from the queue
Actual Results
Observed expected results, but it's timely and therefore should be automated
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
