      Dear Customers,
We've confirmed that all current versions of Jira Software are returning errors when loading agile boards using the latest beta versions of Chrome (126.0.6478.17) and Microsoft Edge (v126.0.2592.24) browsers. Currently, no stable/release versions of Chrome and Microsoft Edge are known to be affected by this issue.

Our team is actively working on new releases to resolve this issue. We will update this ticket as soon as they are available for installation.

      Update 7th June 2024

This has been identified as an issue within Chromium. It has been fixed in their latest build and should be included with Chrome 126. We do not currently have an update for Edge implementing the same change.

      Update 11th June 2024

      Confluence 7.19.24, 8.5.11, 8.9.3, and Bitbucket 8.9, 8.19 bugfix versions were released.
The Jira and Bamboo teams are working on bugfix releases for customers using affected browser versions.

      Update 12th June 2024

Jira 9.12.10 and 9.16.1 with a fix are planned to be released today, and Jira 9.4.23 is planned to be released tomorrow, on Thursday.

      Update 12th June 2024

Jira 9.4.23, 9.12.10 and 9.16.1 have been released with a fix.

      Thank you,

      Atlassian

      Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no) - Yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install the latest chrome beta version(126.0.6478.17). Or Beta version Microsoft Edge (v126.0.2592.24)
      2. Login to Jira and then try to load the Boards(either Kanban or Scrum)
      3. 'An error occurred' see screenshot below.

      Expected Results

      Boards should load correctly.

      Actual Results

"An Error occurred" when loading boards and the below stack trace appears.

DetailsException: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'firstPaintTime')Resource: http://localhost:8080/s/d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e-T/iom9dn/9130001/1dlckms/a92c48157252b0b7617b9dd43d491728/_/download/contextbatch/js/browser-metrics-plugin.contrib,-_super,-atl.general,-gh-rapid-work/batch.js?agile_global_admin_condition=true&baseurl-check-resources=true&flexboards=true&healthcheck-resources=true&jag=true&jaguser=true&whisper-enabled=trueLine: 25Column: 3818

      Workaround

Going to a stable Chrome version(Version 125.0.6422.113) does resolve the issue.

A previously reported workaround (temporarily disabling Atlassian Plugins—DC Browser Metrics—Plugin plugin) had been found to negatively affect other Jira functionality (view and UI navigation rendering problems) and, therefore, should be avoided.
