Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
After upgrading from Jira 9.12.6 to 9.15.2 the colors of the navigation links changed unexpectedly.
We found that changing the color of the "Drop-down menu item - text colour" in the Look and Feel menu now changes the color of other unwanted texts.
While this is not a major issue, the actual color of the drop-down menus is affected, breaking our original style on the Look and Feel configurations.
Steps to Reproduce
- Change the "Drop-down menu item - text colour" to white.
Expected Results
The "Drop-down menu item - text colour" only affects drop-down menu items.
Actual Results
The sidebar navigation links for all Jira are "missing" on the default color scheme.
Jira 9.12.6 > 9.15.2
Investigation
I modified the color to a unique color code and used this unique "#ffffaa" to search the UI HTML to find where this was being changed, then I found a code pertaining to light/dark themes in the 9.15.2 version:
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
