Currently email notifications from Jira are sent with the following from address:
From: Full Name (jira@example.com)

Because of this, in email clients such as Outlook or Apple Mail, Full Name can mistakenly be associated with jira@example.com when composing an email to Full Name.

This request is to change email notifications to the following delivery format:
From: Full Name <noreply@example.com>
Reply-To: Jira Instance <jira@example.com>

This will cause notification replies being directed to Jira's mail handler along with an immediate rejection reply if a user composes an email to Full Name <noreply@example.com>
