Duplicate modify entries when clicking on Edit button multiple times

Problem

Similar to JRASERVER-37267: 'duplicate issues created when clicking on create button multiple times' (fixed in Jira Data Center 9.12.0, 9.4.12, 9.11.3) and JRASERVER-76917: 'Duplicate Sub-task gets created when Create button is clicked multiple times'

However, it is the edit button issue when you edit an issue.

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

Environment

8.20.16
9.13.1

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create an issue
2. Click the edit button to modify the issue
3. Make a few changes
4. Click Edit multiple times

Expected Results

Button to grey out and not allow multiple edits

Actual Results

Multiple edits (multiple POST request sent) occur and sometimes you get the XSRF error, like in JRASERVER-76917.

Workaround

Click once.
