It's not easy to understand and troubleshoot if Jira can receive emails from remote Mail servers and send emails to the corresponding SMTP server.

Suggested Solution

• Create a connection state metric for the outgoing mail server (SMTP) once it’s configured and remove it when it’s deleted.
• Create a connection state metric for each incoming mail server once it’s added to Jira. Metrics are compatible with all types of mail servers and all authentication types.
