Description
Issue Summary
JAWS announces all the contents of "create Issue" modal dialog automatically.
Steps to Reproduce
- Turn on JAWS & Navigate to Jira.
- Navigate to "Create" button in header & activate it.
- Press tab until you reach "Configure fields" button
- Observe that JAWS starts reading all the contents of dialog automatically.
Actual Results
While navigation with JAWS, when user press tab to navigate to elements such as "Configure fields", "show/hide toolbar", "description" field, etc JAWS starts announcing all the contents of modal dialog automatically.
This creates a bad user experience for JAWS users.
Note: this issue seems to be applicable on all the toolbars in Jira & elements which are wrapped inside a role=toolbar element.
Expected Results
When user press tab to navigate JAWS should not announce all the contents automatically, instead only the currently focused element should be announced.
Workaround
- Press ctrl and the speech will stop. You can press JAWS+tab to verify focus.
- Turn off the virtual pc cursor and this doesn't repro.
