Date parsing is lenient

      I have several date fields with date picker. If I fill in the value manually dates are parsed in lenient way (i.e 55.22.2005 produces date 24.11.2006). Can I set date parsing somehow not to parse dates that way and give error messages instead of transformation. I'd like to get parsing to work as it works normally in Java after DateFormat.setLenient(false) command.
