Focus management improvements resulting in unexpected blue frames displayed in the user interface

      Issue Summary

      In Jira 8.12 there were accessibility improvements associated with focus management for keyboard-only users and as a result, blue frames started to appear unexpectedly on the user interface.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install one of the affected versions.
      2. Upgrade your browser to one of its more recent versions.
      3. Click on the Jira Administration Icon > Projects.
      4. Select the correct project from the list.
      5. You should be taken to the Project settings page. Click on Users and Roles at the sidebar.
      6. Click on the Add users to a role button.

      Expected Results

      • The user interface will be properly displayed.

      Actual Results

      • A blue frame appears around the cursor.

      Workaround

      Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
